Jordan and I were having a discussion the other day about how now, more than ever, it’s super beneficial to have a wedding photographer who captures those little in-between moments. So many guests lists are getting downsized due to Covid, so the photos really need to tell the story so that those not in attendance can feel like they were there. Posed portraits are gorgeous and all, but do they really tell the story of the day?
Meredith and Brad postponed their wedding from April 2020 to July 2020 with the hopes that things would be back to “normal” by then. Well, it’s September and we all know things are not back to normal, but they embraced the circumstances and still had an unforgettable wedding! Lowndes Grove will forever be one of the most gorgeous backdrops for a wedding in Charleston. I mean c’mon, would you just look at it?!?
Brad and his crew of dudes unveiled their “party sleeves” once the reception got underway, and y’all, I’m not kidding when I say that I have been forever changed by party sleeves. I want party sleeves to be a part of my everyday wardrobe. Everyone deserves to have party sleeves.
Although this wedding had a few new additions – plexiglass barriers, masks, gloves, and disposable drink ware – it was still a stunning day that I won’t soon forget. Thank you, Meredith and Brad, for inviting me into your lives and allowing me to document such a special time!
